Need help with ScreenShare?

If you need to contact us for ScreenShare apps support, please do the following self-check first. This will help our support team to be able to support you at an earliest time.

1. Make sure you have installed correct version of ScreenShare

Verify you installed correct version of ScreenShare on both your phone and tablet at
ScreenShare>Menu>Settings>About

2. Check your ScreenShare connection

If you are connecting via Bluetooth, make sure your tablet supports Bluetooth. Then follow connections steps in our Quick Start Guide.

If you are connecting via Wi-Fi, connect your phone and tablet to the same Wi-Fi network or connect your tablet to your phone's mobile hotspot when you are on the road. Set wireless network as Wi-Fi in ScreenShare service on both your phone and tablet, tap your phone name on tablet service screen to start connection and confirm on your phone to complete the connection.

Rooting your phone or tablet is not required to make ScreenShare connection.

3. Solve Bluetooth connection problems

If you followed our QSG instructions and still have problems setting up a ScreenShare connection via Bluetooth, you can find solutions based on the cases listed below:

  • Case 1: After starting the connection request on the tablet and confirming the request on phone side, ScreenShare fails to connect. In this case, your phone receives the connection request, but fails to establish the ScreenShare connection. Most of time, you can just wait 10 seconds and try again. If it still does not work, turn off and turn back on the ScreenShare service on your phone and tablet before reconnecting.
  • Case 2: After starting the connection request on the tablet, the confirm request dialogue does not show up on phone. In this case, your phone did not receive the Bluetooth connection request from the tablet. Either the tablet Bluetooth is causing problems, or there is a problem with the Bluetooth pairing between the tablet and the phone (Case 3). Turn off then turn back on the tablet Bluetooth, and then reconnect. If that does not work, then the problem is most likely from the Bluetooth pairing.
  • Case 3: After starting the connection request on tablet, the confirm request dialogue does not show up on phone. There is a problem with the Bluetooth pairing between your phone and tablet. To fix the Bluetooth pairing, unpair your phone and tablet, and pair the devices once again. Once the pairing is done, retry the connection request on the tablet in the ScreenShare service, and confirm the request on the phone.

4. Solve Wi-Fi connection problems

If you followed our QSG instructions and still have problems setting up a ScreenShare connection via Wi-Fi, you can find solutions based on the cases listed below:
  • Case 1: After starting the connection request on the tablet, the confirm request dialogue does not show up on phone. In this case, your phone did not receive the Wi-Fi connection request from the tablet. Please make sure your phone and tablet are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Then check your phone and tablet do not have the same IP address (IP address is displayed at device Settings>Wi-Fi>Menu>Advanced). Turn off then turn back on the ScreenShare service on your phone and tablet and then reconnect.
  • Case 2: After starting the connection request on the tablet and confirming the request on phone side, ScreenShare fails to connect. In this case, your phone receives the connection request, but fails to establish the ScreenShare connection. Most of time, you can just wait 10 seconds and try again. If it still does not work, turn off and turn back on the ScreenShare service on your phone and tablet before reconnecting.

5. Improve browsing performance

Browsing speed of ScreenShare Browser is in decent range compared to Chrome and Android browser in our lab test. If you are experiencing slow browsing performance, check the browsing speed in your phone. For some low end phones, users need to keep phone awake for better browsing.

6. Avoid connection drops

Most phones and tablets passed our connection test and should be able to provide steady connection when running ScreenShare. Connection drop happens occasionaly but you can either wait devices to auto reconnect or manually reconnect. Please send us an e-mail if you are experiencing frequent connection drops with your phone and tablet models.

7. ScreenShare requires Android 2.3+

8. ScreenShare Browser

As of now, only ScreenShare Browser can be used to get online with the ScreenShare Bluetooth service.

9. Sending files over Wi-Fi in ScreenShare Organizer

When you are sending files in Organizer over Wi-Fi, please make sure to keep your devices plugged in when they are low on battery and set "always keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" and uncheck "Wi-Fi optimization" at device settings>Wi-Fi>Advanced for both of your phone and tablet. As always, use your devices in the close distance to your wireless router to get good signal strength and minimize intermittent connection problem. Disable your phone data plan if it impacts your phone Wi-Fi.

10. HDMI information

Our ScreenShare app (you will need to install phone version on your phone and tablet version on your tablet) will let you share and play your phone content to your tablet. If your tablet supports HDMI, you can connect your tablet with your TV via HDMI cable. So whatever displayed on your tablet will also be on your TV. The HDMI function is one of your tablet functions. If your tablet firmware programs to only allow particular apps output to your TV, our app may not be displayed on your TV. You can verify this by using any of your other apps like browser, then see if it can display on your TV. If not, our app cannot be displayed on your TV. This is limited by your tablet.
