1. What is the OS requirement for using ScreenShare apps?
A: Android 2.3+.
   
2. Is an external SD card required?
A: No.
   
3. What is the function of ScreenShare service?
A: ScreenShare service works for ScreenShare apps. It manages Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection and ScreenShare messages exchange between your phone and your tablet. Without ScreenShare service, you will not be able to connect your tablet with your phone and use ScreenShare related functions in ScreenShare apps.
   
4. Why do I need to install ScreenShare apps on both my phone and my tablet?
A: ScreenShare apps work as a pair. So they can sync data or UI between your phone and your tablet. If phone version is installed on tablet or vice versa, ScreenShare related functions will not work. You can verify this at ScreenShare>Menu>About. If you find tablet version is installed on phone, please uninstall then install the correct one.
   
5. Can I set up ScreenShare connection between multiple devices?
A: No. A phone can connect with only one tablet at a time or vice versa.
   
6. Can I use other apps beside ScreenShare browser to go online via ScreenShare service on my tablet?
A: No.
   
7. Do I need to root my phone or tablet for ScreenShare connection?
A: No.

 
ScreenShare Service related questions:
8. How do I access ScreenShare service?
A: ScreenShare service can be accessed at ScreenShare home screen. You also can access ScreenShare service by tapping the connected or disconnected icon in device notification bar when it is there.
   
9. Why can’t I connect from my phone when I set network as Bluetooth?
A: For complying with Bluetooth protocols, you must start connection from one device, not both devices. Screenshare requires you to start the connection from your tablet in order to conserve phone battery.
   
10. I have correct version installed on both my phone and tablet. But cannot connect. What can I do?
A: For connecting via Bluetooth, make sure your tablet supports Bluetooth. Then follow connections steps in QSG at ScreenSahre>Menu>ScreenShare help. For connecting via Wi-Fi, connect your phone and tablet to the same Wi-Fi network or connect your tablet to your phone's mobile hotspot when you are on the road, set wireless network as Wi-Fi in ScreenShare service on both your phone and tablet, tap your phone name on tablet service screen to start connection and confirm on your phone to complete the connection. .
   
11. How do I switch to connect with my tablet B while my phone is connected with my tablet A?
A: On your phone, long press tablet A name and select disconnect to disconnect with tablet A. On your tablet B, tap your phone name to connect. If your phone name is not on your tablet B, search first.
   
12. How do I switch to connect with my phone B while my tablet is connected with my phone A?
A: On your tablet, tap your phone B name to connect. If phone B name is not on your tablet, search first.
   
13. What is the meaning of “ScreenShare is off”?
A: It means ScreenShare service is turned off. All functions ScreenShare service performs will be stopped. When network is Wi-Fi, your device will not be found by other ScreenShare devices if ScreenShare service is off.
   
14. How do I switch network from Bluetooth to Wi-Fi?
A: At ScreenShare Service home screen, tap the More button for “Wireless network”, select Wi-Fi. Connect your phone and tablet with the same Wi-Fi network at Settings of your phone and tablet.
   
15. How do I use the Hotspot for ScreenShare service?
A: When you are on the go and your wireless network is set as Wi-Fi, you can turn on and set up your mobile Hotspot on your phone, then connect your tablet with your phone mobile hotspot. We recommend you to use Bluetooth to save your phone battery when you do not need to download large files or stream video.
   
16. What can I do when ScreenShare service cannot find my phone that is next to my tablet?
A: On both your phone and tablet, check ScreenShare services are on, check same network are selected on both devices, and check the selected network is on. If network is Bluetooth, check your phone and tablet are paired. If network is Wi-Fi, check your tablet and phone are connected with the same Wi-Fi network. If all correct, try to redo the Bluetooth pairing or turn SreenShare off and on or unpair all your other Bluetooth devices that are not currently in use on your tablet. In some rare cases that the installation is not done correctly, you can repair it by uninstall and then reinstall ScreenShare Browser. If the problem is caused by Android system itself, you can reboot device to restore things. To avoid Bluetooth problems, try not to reboot two paired ScreenShare devices at the same time.
   
17. What can I do when ScreenShare service cannot connect my tablet with my phone that is next to my tablet?

A: On your device, slide the On/Off button to turn off ScreenShare service then slide to turn on, your remote ScreenShare device list will be updated.
   
19. How can I remove the ScreenShare service connection status icon on top status bar?
A: On your device, slide down the top status bar then tap service to launch it, or launch service from ScreenShare home screen. Tap On/Off button to turn off ScreenShare service (the icon will disappear in 10s). Make sure to turn on service when need to use it next time.
   
20. My tablet and phone won't connect after I accidentally quickly disconnect and connect several times, what can I do?
A: Wait 10 ~20 seconds. Then try to connect again.
   
21. What can I do when browsing via ScreenShare Bluetooth service is slow?
A: We did browsing speed comparison with Chrome and Android browser. Our browser browsing speed is in decent range. Please first verify this is not contributed by your phone. Check your phone browsing speed. If you encounter slowness when your phone is in sleep mode, please keep your phone awake (by setting never timeout at phone Settings>Display>Screen timeout) during your browsing time. This only happens to some low profile phone.
   
22. The connection between my phone and tablet sometimes got disconnected. What can I do?
A: We have tested our connection is very solid for most phone and tablets. Random disconnection may happen as long as you tablet can auto reconnect or you can manually reconnect. Please email to support@springdesign.com if you have frequent connection drop.

23. What is the major difference between ScreenShare Browser and other browsers?
A: ScreenShare browser uses ScreenShare technology to allow your phone and tablet to share data and user interface. 28. Does the ScreenShare Browser support HTTPS?
A: ScreeenShare browser supports HTTPS on devices with Android OS 3.0+.
   
29. Can I play flash content in ScreenShare Browser?
A: Yes. You can play flash content in ScreenShare browser if your device has Adobe Flash plug in installed and your device OS is below 4.2.
   
30. Can I play audio/video in ScreenShare browser on my tablet when using ScreenShare service with Bluetooth connection?
A: No. When connected with Bluetooth, ScreenShare service does not support video/audio play back. Please use Wi-Fi to play your audio/video.
   
31. How can I sync from one device to a remote device in ScreenShare browser?
A: You may tap Sync button in Menu to sync current web page to a remote device or long press a link then select "Open in remote device" to open the link on a remote device.
   
32. What can I do when the option "Open in remote device" does not pop up after long pressing a link?
A: You may tap Sync to sync current page to a remote device then open the link there or open the link first then sync to a remote device. For some android devices, occasionally the long pressing a link does not work reliably.
   
33. What can I do when the app fails to launch and says it has stopped?
A: You may try to do "clear data" at device Settings>Apps or uninstall then reinstalll from Google Play if the issue is caused by ejecting SD card without unmount it and the app is installed on SD. Always unmount SD at device Settings>SD & phone storage before ejecting an SD.
   
 
ScreenShare Organizer related questions:
34. What does organizer do?
A: Organizer can let you navigate and play your phone content (photos, videos, music, documents, etc.) on your tablet or export your phone contents to your tablet storage via ScreenShare service. Organizer can also let you directly stream the music and videos stored on your phone to your tablet or TV(via HDMI cable). The streaming function is supported when ScreenShare service is connected over Wi-Fi network only.
   
35. How can I remove my phone cache from my tablet?
A: For removing entire cache, set tablet organizer in local mode, then go to action bar "phone name" >Remove phone xxx. You may also use "Delete cache" menu to delete individual cached file in cache mode.
   
36. What can I do if sending files in organizer or streaming becomes slow?
A: If you encounter slowness when your phone is in sleep mode, please keep your phone awake (by setting never timeout at phone Settings>Display>Screen timeout). This only happens to some low profile phone. When you send file in organizer or stream over Wi-Fi, please make sure to keep your devices plugged in when they are low on battery and set "always keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" and uncheck "Wi-Fi optimization" at device settings>Wi-Fi>Advanced for both of your phone and tablet. As always, use your devices in the close distance to your wireless router to get good signal strength and minimize intermittent connection problem. Turn off power saving mode if it impacts your device Wi-Fi.
   
37. What videos/music formats are supported for streaming play?
A: All formats supported by your tablet Android OS will be supported for streaming play. For formats not supported by your tablet (they may be supported by your phone), you will see a "Can't play" message when stream. Please note, when stream play certain type videos, you may experience hiccup isue that is limited by Android media player.
   
38. How to save phone battery during streaming?
A: During streaming, you may hide your phone remote control screen to background by pressing home button or pressing back then selecting "Exit remote control". Once phone remote control screen is in background, tablet will stop sending streaming play progress info to phone to save battery.
